Application & Enrollment Process


Class Offerings


Our small classes and low teacher/student ratios foster your child’s year-over-year growth, the development of lasting friendships, and give them the tools they need for kindergarten.



Class Eligibility Class Size Class Schedule
2-Year-Old Class Age 2 by September 30th 10 Children; 5:1 Ratio T/Th, 9:15am - 12:45pm*
3-Year-Old Class Age 3 by September 30th; Children must be toilet-trained 12 Children; 6:1 Ratio M/W/F, 9:15am - 12:45pm
Pre-K / 4s-5s Class Age 4 by September 30th; Children must be toilet trained 12 Children; 6:1 Ratio M/T/W/Th/F, 9:15am - 12:45pm

* Children in 2-Year-Old Class are picked up at 12:00pm for the first two months of school, after which pick up time moves to 12:45pm.

Each WCP class has spots for 10-12 children.  Spots within each WCP class are filled giving priority in the following order:

  • Children enrolled during the previous school year
  • Siblings of children enrolled during the previous school year
  • Members of Walker Chapel UMC
  • All other applicants

 

Once a class is enrolled to capacity a waitlist will be maintained for the current academic year.  Final class placement is at the discretion of the WCP Director and staff.


Scheduling a Tour of WCP

  • Tours of WCP are available throughout the 2024-2025 Enrollment period. If you are interested in scheduling a tour, please email WCP Director Suzanne Romness at wcpreschool@walkerchapel.org.


Applying for WCP Enrollment



  • WCP Treasurer Rick Olson will send you an invoice for the relevant application fee.

2024-25 Application Fees (Non-Refundable):

Received before January 2, 2024:     $0

Received after January 2, 2024:                  $50


  • WCP Staff will let you know once your child has been accepted or placed on the Wait List.


Registering Your Child for WCP Enrollment

 

  • Once you receive notification that your child has been accepted for the 2024-2025 school year, secure your child's place at WCP by
    completing the 2024-2025         WCP Registration Form and submit it via email to wcpreschool@walkerchapel.org. You will also need to pay the non-refundable registration fee and a deposit of one month’s tuition within 30 days of acceptance. (The tuition deposit will be applied to your child's June tuition.)


2024-2025 Registration Fee (Non-Refundable):

Received before January 2, 2024:    $75

Received after January 2, 2024:                 $125 


  • WCP Treasurer Rick Olson, will send you an invoice for tuition and fees.  If you are paying by check, Please make checks payable to "Parent's Day Out c/o Walker Chapel". You may mail a check to the school at 4102 N. Glebe Road, Arlington, VA 22207, or you may drop it by the school at your convenience.

For families enrolling more than one child, a 10% tuition discount is given on the tuition of the younger child(ren).
