I am the church!
You are the church!
We are the church, together!

The mission of Walker Chapel is to befriend, nurture, and serve all of God’s children. Building on its heritage, Walker Chapel’s commitment to equity, diversity and inclusiveness includes intentional intergenerational engagement. Walker Chapel seeks to provide meaningful ministries to its community, both near and far, as well as fulfill its connexional obligations to the United Methodist Church.

Based on Kay Kotan's Mission Possible: A Simple Structure for Missional Effectiveness, our leadership structure is designed to create an environment in which ministries will thrive, strengthened by increased congregational and community participation.  General leadership board sessions are currently held every Tuesday at 5pm on Zoom. Sign up for our Chapel Notes to receive the link to join. Under supervision of the Pastor, Ministry Teams are the primary means by which Walker Chapel’s aims to achieve its missional goals.  All are welcome and encouraged to join a fellowship group, ministry team or teams!

Spring 2024 Quarterly Leadership Board Report

All who follow Jesus,

All around the world.

Walker Chapel is a warm and welcoming United Methodist church. United Methodists share a common heritage with all Christians. According to our foundational statement of beliefs found in The Book of Discipline, we share the following basic affirmations in common with all Christian communities.

As United Methodists, we recognize our connections to God, others and the created world. We speak different languages, are immersed in various cultures, and sometimes disagree. Yet we worship together, serve together, and learn from one another. Our global connection empowers us to love and serve God and our neighbors in ways no one of us could do on our own.
