Community Assistance changes lives. It’s changing the lives of hundreds of women, men, and children who are struggling to make ends meet. It’s changing the lives of our volunteers who have found a place to serve others. And it’s changing our community into one that seeks to work together to give a helping hand to our neighbors by providing fresh produce and other food items from the Capital Area Food Bank on the second Saturday of every month from 11 AM-1 PM and – most importantly – experience God’s love.

As part of the United Methodist Committee on Relief (UMCOR), Walker Chapel contributes to projects providing disaster relief, emergency assistance, and development support. Together, we respond to global crises, offering aid to communities in the aftermath of hurricanes, earthquakes, and other natural disasters.

Walker Chapel is honored to support Casa Mariflor, a community network of neighbors caring for one another. Through financial assistance, volunteer work, and prayer, we help provide support and hope to our neighbors.

Join us as we partner with Rise Against Hunger to fight global hunger. Through hands-on meal-packaging events, we provide nutritious meals to families in communities affected by food insecurity. It’s an impactful way to give back and connect with others.

Every Christmas, we participate in the Angel Tree program, bringing joy to children and families through holiday gifts and support. By sharing Christmas cheer with those who need it most, we strive to make the season brighter for our community.
